Co-founders Matthew Hayward and Angela Niederloh are experienced performers and educators whose work spans classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles, with backgrounds that include university teaching and collaborations across multiple performance settings. Their teaching emphasizes healthy vocal technique, expressive clarity, and sustainable artistic growth. Matthew Hayward
Matthew Hayward is a distinguished lyric baritone celebrated for award-winning performances in prominent roles in Opera and Musical Theater. He has performed on stages and collaborated with orchestras in concert halls across the United States and Europe. Recognized for his "shining vocal beauty" and dramatic versatility, he is sought after as a master clinician and interpretive coach. In addition to his 25-year performance career, Matthew has been a voice faculty member at Summer Music in Tuscany, Portland State University, and George Fox University.
Angela Niederloh
Angela Niederloh is recognized by The New York Times as “a charismatic mezzo soprano.” For 15 years she sang leading mezzo-soprano roles at Portland Opera and has also made a name for herself as a distinguished talent in the concert world. As a young artist, Angela honed her singing and performance skills through apprenticeships at Houston Grand and San Francisco Opera, earning numerous prestigious awards across the United States, including as a finalist at the Metropolitan Opera National Council. Additionally, she has served on the vocal programs at both Portland State and Pacific Universities.
